NZ Wood is a major promotional and development programme to promote New Zealand forests and wood resources to improve our economy, society and our whole way of life. It was launched in 2008.

Competenz is one of New Zealand’s industry training organisations. We work with more than 3,500 companies and 20,000 learners in 36 industries around New Zealand each year to build skills, careers and businesses. Most learning takes place on-the-job.

The Forest Growers Levy Trust Inc (FGLT) is an incorporated society. Its members have been drawn from a cross-section of the forest growing industry in order to achieve incorporation.

The New Zealand Forest Owners Association (FOA) represents the owners of New Zealand’s commercial plantation forests. The association and its members are committed to the highest standards of sustainable silviculture, environmental practice and workforce safety.

Safetree is a one-stop-shop providing health and safety information for the plantation forest industry.
We support a safe, sustainable and professional forestry sector, in partnership with workers, industry and government.

Women in Wood (WIW) was created to bring together passionate women from across Canada to share their love for the woods. Whether you work in the woods, with wood, or for the woods, WIW provides a networking opportunity to help you find mentors, seek career advice, or meet other passionate women.

FISC has been established in response to the Independent Forestry Safety Review (IFSR). The council is an exciting prospect; the first true tri-partite industry lead body in New Zealand with the mandate to work in collaboration across the full plantation forestry sector, representing one voice in health and safety.

The Forest Growers Levy Trust (FGLT) is the largest industry funder of research and development for the New Zealand forest-growing sector.

MPI is the government’s principal adviser on the forestry industry. We work to protect our forest resources from harmful pests and diseases, and support the industry in sustainably managing forestry resources while contributing to New Zealand’s economic growth.

The Southern Wood Council Inc (SWC) was set up in 2001 to promote, encourage and coordinate the sustainable economic development of the forest products industry in the Otago and Southland regions of New Zealand.
